Kiko Milano opens new store in Scotland as it continues rapid expansion strategy – TheIndustry.beauty
Kiko Milano has opened a new store in Scotland, located at Braehead Shopping Centre near Glasgow.
The new store, spanning 1,000 sq ft, features the brand’s range of beauty products, including makeup, face and body treatments.
It has been signed on a 10-year lease and is situated on the Upper Level of the retail and leisure destination.
The new location is part of Kiko Milano’s rapid expansion plan to open multiple stores in key shopping districts in the UK this year. It currently operates 25 stores across the country.
Earlier this month, the cosmetics brand also landed at Angel Central in London’s Islington, taking an 818 sq ft unit.
Paul Devin, Managing Director for Kiko Milano in the UK and Ireland, said: “The launch of Kiko Milano at Braehead Shopping Centre marks a significant milestone for the brand as part of our expansion plan.
“Braehead is a premium destination for the beauty shopper, and our partnership extends the accessibility of Kiko’s wide range of beauty products to an important new demographic.”
It joins a number of beauty brands and retailers at the shopping centre, including Boots, MAC Cosmetics, Lush, Holland & Barrett, Superdrug and The Perfume Shop, amongst others.
Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said: “Kiko Milano is a great addition to Braehead’s beauty offer and builds on the momentum created by the opening of Superdrug last year and Bodycare last month.
“We know the new store will be a hit with our shoppers – helping to drive footfall and spend. Braehead remains a top attraction for the area and the openings are indicative of the strength of physical retail. We have further updates in the pipeline and look forward to announcing more positive news in due course.”
Braehead Shopping Centre is a retail and leisure destination situated just outside of Glasgow, covering 1.1 million sq ft.
The centre is home to a diverse mix of retail brands, including Marks & Spencer, Flannels, Apple, Primark, TK Maxx and NEXT – as well as a variety of local and independent brands.
