Lovell appoints Margaret Davidson as new sales director in Scotland
Lovell Homes has appointed Margaret Davidson as its new sales director for Scotland as part of its ambitious plans to grow the private development side of the business.
The housing developer aims to increase the number of homes it builds annually to an average of 140, up from approximately 78 due for completion in 2024, with more than 700 new homes forecast to be built across Scotland by 2029.
Margaret Davidson has more than 29 years of experience in the new home market, having previously led sales teams at Living by Robertson, Avant Homes (formerly Bett Homes), Charles Church Homes and Balfour Beatty Homes. Margaret, who joined the team in March 2024, has plans to build on the excellent sales team as new developments are secured and aims to create a fully customer-centric purchasing journey.
Margaret will head up Lovell Homes, which has three active projects in Scotland: Glow Garren in Hamilton, The Crossings in South Queensferry, and Oakwood Edge in Mayfield. This year, Lovell intends to launch a number of new developments, which will have a combined total of around 400 additional homes.
Lovell managing director in Scotland, Tony Rankin, said: “Margaret Davidson is a fantastic addition to our growing team. Her proven track record within the new home market will be crucial as we work to meet our growth targets. With her guidance, we are confident in our capacity to increase our sales and continue to provide much-needed high-quality homes throughout Scotland.”
Lovell sales director Margaret Davidson said: “This is an exciting time to join Lovell as the company shifts gears to double the number of homes being built. I have always been committed to having a collaborative culture where team members support one another and I will be bringing that mindset to Lovell to allow our team to deliver the best possible customer service to enable us to deliver Lovell’s ambitious objectives.”
