Moussa Dembele mocks Rangers as striker applauds Celtic Scottish Cup win

Moussa Dembele couldn’t resist a pop at Rangers after applauding Celtic for their Scottish Cup victory.

The French striker enjoyed two years in Glasgow where he lifted six trophies before eventually leaving for Lyon in a deal worth nearly £20million. Dembele hit seven goals in 10 games against the Ibrox outfit in his time at Parkhead including a hat-trick in a 5-1 mauling back in September 2016. And he still reflects fondly on his time with the Hoops as was made clear in his social media post this weekend. After Adam Idah’s late strike won the cup for the Premiership champions, Dembele took to X to congratulate his old club on their success.




But he couldn’t help himself when briefly addressing their opponents as he aimed a cheeky jibe at Philippe Clement’ charges.

He wrote: “Well done Bhoys! A double well deserved. Always on the winning side, and Rangers… I rather not say anything abt them,” with a laughing face emoji.

Punters lapped up the Al-Ettifaq hitman’s post with messages of love flooding in. Others even begged for the 27-year-old to make a return to Glasgow.
