NAIRN Dunbar Golf Club is set to host a major tournament featuring of some of the most promising golfers in Scotland tomorrow.

The club is set to host the Nairn Dunbar Classic which starts on Monday as part of the Tartan Pro Tour.

A field of 86 players have entered the competition with a total prize fund of £25,000.

Golfers from England, Wales as well as from across Europe, North America and Australia are also taking part.

The competition starts on Monday and will conclude on Wednesday.

The Tartan Pro Tour is a Scottish-based development tour for male and female golfers.

Owned by Paul Lawrie, the 1999 Open Champion, Tartan Pro Tour provides tournament playing opportunities to challenge players over some of the country’s best courses.

Its objective is to provide a stepping-stone for aspiring tournament professionals to reach the highest levels of competition.
