Most tourists stop off along the way for a bite to eat and a drink as they take in the stunning views of the Scottish Highlands.

The huge distance means travellers are left with a lot of choices when it comes to dining.

The National has compiled a list of the best restaurants worth trying.

They ranked the eateries based on customer reviews.
