Nets re-signing Keon Johnson to multiyear deal: report

The Nets are re-signing free agent shooting guard Keon Johnson to a multiyear deal, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Johnson was with the Nets last season after spending the last two seasons with the Clippers and Trail Blazers. The 22-year-old appeared in just five games with the Nets where he averaged 6.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 12.2 minutes played.

Johnson, however, has had a great Summer League in Las Vegas. In four games, Johnson is averaging 30.7 minutes and scoring 16.3 points per game on 45 percent shooting. He’s also averaging 5.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds.

In 62 career games (12 starts) across three NBA seasons, the 6-foot-5 guard out of Tennessee is averaging 5.9 points on 36.3 percent shooting with 1.7 assists and 1.6 rebounds over 14.3 minutes.
