New 8,500-capacity ‘world class’ entertainment venue planned for Edinburgh

A massive entertainment arena could be built in Edinburgh as new plans have been unveiled.

AEG Europe, owners of iconic venue The O2, has announced plans for a major new investment in Edinburgh. The entertainment giant is seeking planning approval for an 8,500-capacity arena in the heart of Edinburgh Park.

With public transport and motorway access, including two tram stops within an easy walk, two mainline stations, plentiful bus connections and excellent motorway links, AEG say the site in west Edinburgh is extremely well positioned to become home to the new live entertainment venue.
