New sales and planning data tool assisting Scotland’s homebuilding sector
A new tool for the homebuilding sector in Scotland has been launched and already counts big names including Cala Homes, Lovell Homes, Muir Homes, Persimmon Homes, Scotia Homes and Taylor Wimpey Homes as clients.
Launched last year, BoCreate is a service that provides comprehensive up-to-date competitor sales and planning data for new build homes in Scotland via an annual subscription to a map-based search tool. The tool has a simple user interface and is extremely easy to navigate and operate. Users can search housing developments by planning status, development sales status, local authority, geography, dates or development size.
Developed by serial technology entrepreneur with a background in architecture and urban design, Lesley Gavin, spotted a gap in Scotland’s homebuilding sector, developing BoCreate in partnership with EPPC at the University of Edinburgh, an internationally renowned centre for High Performance Computing.
Lesley Gavin, managing director at BoCreate, said: “It is exciting that our service is recognised as invaluable by established homebuilders in Scotland. I love getting feedback on how people are using it, often on a weekly basis. As an innovator, it is great to get that validation and acknowledgement that BoCreate is filling a vital gap in the market.
“The feedback we get from planning and sales teams is that our tool saves time and resources. Our easily accessible data aids accurate and relevant decision making and informs future strategy. Early-stage investigations and viability studies in particular are able to be carried out quickly, cost effectively and efficiently. Our sales data also gives instant competitor analytics.”
