No. 24 Boston College somehow turns errant snap into wide-open 67-yard TD in loss to No. 6 Missouri

No. 24 Boston College got an improbable touchdown against No. 6 Missouri after QB Thomas Castellanos had to scramble to retrieve the snap.

Castellanos was apparently not ready for a second quarter snap while in the shotgun and the ball sailed past him to his left. He ran back to retrieve the ball and after he picked it up, Reed Harris was somehow wide open along the left sideline.

Did Missouri think the play got blown dead? The entire Tigers defense seemed a little slow to react and the secondary just lost Harris behind it.

The touchdown officially went for 67 yards as Boston College took a 14-3 lead on the Tigers. However, that lead didn’t last very long. Missouri scored 14 points in the final five minutes of the second quarter to take a 17-14 lead. Boston College never led again as the Tigers held on for a 27-21 win.

Castellanos finished the game 16-of-28 for 249 yards and three TDs but also threw two interceptions. He was held in check on the ground too, as he rushed 13 times for just 25 yards.
