No ticket, no problem: Swifties soak up Eras atmosphere

More than 200,000 people ventured to Scotland’s biggest stadium to see Taylor Swift this weekend. But thousands more were determined to be part of the UK leg of her record-breaking Eras tour — whether they secured tickets or not.

Some, in their pink or baby blue cowboy hats or heart-shaped sunglasses, gathered outside Murrayfield, Edinburgh’s rugby stadium, despite being told to stay away by local authorities. Many recorded their delight on the video sharing platform TikTok.

“We didn’t get tickets but parking lot Swifties are always the main vibe,” posted one fan on the first night, panning across steps covered with fans able to hear — and feel — their idol’s songs from across the street.
