Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Outlander actor Sam Heughan didn’t mince words when sharing his thoughts on Taylor Swift. He even suggested that she might consider leaving her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, after catching sight of him in the audience at the Eras Tour in Scotland.

“We’re gonna go see Taylor Swift play in Scotland,” he shared in a video posted to his Instagram on Wednesday, June 5. “She obviously doesn’t know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she’s going to forget all about him (referring to her boyfriend Kelce).”

He added to his prediction, saying, “And fall for a man in a ginger wig. How could she resist? You know, she’s going to shake him off and take me out instead.” The actor concluded with, “I’m really excited!” while making Taylor Swift’s signature heart hand gesture.

“Welcome to Scotland Taylor! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿JAMMF is a Swiftie 🫶,” he wrote in the caption, with the song “Are You Ready For It?” as the background music of the video.

Although Heughan was most likely joking, social media followers were here for it. “I’d dump Travis in a heartbeat for Sam!! Taylor, girl make the right choice here for all of us!!,” one user said. Another fan wrote, “Shoot your shot, Sam! 😂.”

A third person quipped, “Bahahahaha!!!! I’m from KC and I’d still take you over Kelce.”

Swift is stopping at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium for a portion of the European leg of her Eras Tour. Heughan did not share which concert he will be attending, but she will be in Edinburgh, Scotland on Friday, June 7, Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June, 9.
