Patrick Moynihan signs with ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits
Former Providence and Notre Dame forward Patrick Moynihan has signed a one-year deal with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits, the team announced Tuesday.

Hailing from Millis, Mass., Moynihan played for the Fighting Irish and the Chicago Wolves (AHL) this past season. In 36 games with Notre Dame, he scored 10 goals and added 14 assists for 24 points. After his season was over, Moynihan appeared in one game for the Wolves but did not register a point.
Drated by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Moynihan spent four seasons at Providence and one at Notre Dame. Over 159 career games, he collected 47 goals and 48 assists for 95 points.
As Moynihan starts out in Greenville, he should be a strong candidate to play a big role for the Swamp Rabbits. If he can produce consistently, it would not be a surprise to see an AHL team give him games throughout the season.
