Peek inside Royal Family’s Balmoral Castle as never seen before

BBC Scotland News has been given a peek inside rooms at Balmoral Castle before they open to the public for the very first time.

Balmoral has been the Royal Family’s Scottish holiday home since the 19th Century – and now visitors can take a tour to see it for themselves.

Ranging from £100 to £150, tickets aren’t cheap but sold out within 24 hours when they were released in April.

Visitors can look inside King Charles’ private study, view the page’s lobby with its mounted stag heads, and see the grand entrance hall, featuring a bronze statue of Malcolm of Canmore – the 11th Century king who is said to have killed Macbeth.
