Pritchard scores 18, Central Michigan knocks off Central State (OH) 86-52

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Anthony Pritchard had 18 points in Central Michigan’s 86-52 win over Central State of Ohio on Wednesday night.

Pritchard had five rebounds for the Chippewas (3-2). Jakobi Heady scored 15 points while going 4 of 8 and 7 of 7 from the free-throw line and added seven rebounds. Damarion Bonds shot 4 of 10 from the field, including 2 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line to finish with 13 points.

Ramar Pryor led the way for the Marauders with 17 points. Raevon Thomas added 13 points for Central State. Javantae Randle also had five points.

Central Michigan took the lead with 11:44 left in the first half and did not give it up. Pritchard led their team in scoring with 13 points in the first half to help put them up 41-25 at the break. Central Michigan extended its lead to 67-31 during the second half, fueled by a 12-0 scoring run. Cayden Vasko scored a team-high 11 points in the second half as their team closed out the win.
