Rita Ora reflects on ‘incredible’ trip to Scotland as she vows to come back soon

Rita Ora has taken to social media to gush over her “incredible” trip to Scotland. The pop icon posted a string of wholesome snaps from her whirlwind break as she promised her fans she would be returning again soon.

The 32-year-old singer posed among the autumn forestry landscape wrapped up in a brown winter coat and cap. She also shared a reel of her trip to Edinburgh and the car journey which highlighted the gorgeous scenery across the country.

The Poison singer captioned the post: “I had THE MOST incredible time in Scotland!! Matched my outfit to the trees, obviously. I’ll be back sooooon! We both loved exploring and living the Shrek fantasy. Feeling refreshed and recharged,” alongside heart emojis.

Last week, Rita and her husband Taika Waititi had fans in stitches after they dressed up to enjoy a Halloween getaway to Shrek’s Swamp in Ardverikie, near Inverness.

The loved-up couple enjoyed a trip to the Scottish Highlands, courtesy of Airbnb and Dreamworks, to bring the much-loved Scottish ogre’s home to life.

The singer took to Instagram to reveal that the newlyweds had visited the “mud-laden” location, adding that extra touch as they dressed up as the swamp’s original inhabitants, Shrek and Princess Fiona.

Sharing the hilarious experience with her 16 million Instagram followers, she wrote: “Don’t mind us, we’re just two grown adults dressing up around Shrek’s Swamp.

“Thank you to @airbnb and @bchesky for this amazing stay. And oh yeah – happy late Halloween baby.

“We saved the best till last. Ps after filming this I realised Fiona is American but it got too dark to re-film so you’ll have to get a really bad Scottish accent Fiona this year. Your welcome.”

The couple also enjoyed venturing around the Old Town to see some of Edinburgh’s famous beauty spots and visiting the local restaurants.

During the trip, the star enjoyed a Scotch Egg while they took a stroll around the city. They were also spotted in one of the famous bookshops hidden around the Grassmarket and popped into Mary’s Milkbar for an ice cream despite the cold weather.

While on that side of town, the couple also paid a visit to I.J Mellis Cheese on picturesque Victoria Street.
