Roger Bullivant completes first foundation package for Dandara Scotland | Project Scotland

ROGER Bullivant Limited (RBL) has completed its first foundation package for Dandara Scotland at its Foxhall Gait development in Kirkliston.

The ground engineering specialist revealed the project involved the installation of 120 No x 200mm driven precast concrete piles and 530 linear metres of precast RBeam.

RBL added that the piles were driven to the designed length into the underlying stiff gravelly clay, ensuring a ‘robust and stable’ foundation that meets the design specifications.

Brian Farmer, senior engineer at Dandara Scotland, said, “As a housebuilder committed to quality building processes, it was a pleasure to work with foundation specialists at Foxhall Gait. The supportive approach and input at the front end for the designs; guidance and collaboration to cover all elements from site investigation to the mat extents and testing requirements was very much appreciated to help assist us value engineer and manage costs.

“We now have all the design and as-built information signed off from our warranty provider too which is a great position to be in considering we haven’t finished the slabs on the plots yet.”

Steven Shiells, site manager at Dandara Scotland, added, “We were very pleased with the foundation work that took place at our Kirkliston site. The operatives on site all worked well with our groundworks contractor and the outcome is some very solid foundations for our new homes, ready for a quality build.”

Gavin Hay, Scotland regional manager at Roger Bullivant Limited, commented, “We are thrilled to have completed our first project providing a comprehensive foundation solution for Dandara Scotland. This project highlights our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and our ability to work seamlessly with our clients. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Dandara and delivering more foundation work at its developments throughout Scotland.”
