Savills to sell 25% share in St James Quarter as Nuveen exits

1. One of the owners of the St James Quarter in Edinburgh is to sell its 25 per cent holding in the retail, leisure and residential housing development.

Nuveen Real Estate is to exit but APG Asset Management, a Dutch pension fund which owns 75 per cent, is remaining.

The £1 billion project opened in 2021 after the demolition of the St James Centre.

St James Quarter has since attracted brands such as Lego, Stradivarius, Coach, Boss and The Kooples and also has restaurants, a cinema, 152 apartments and 1,600 car parking spaces.

The price tag to take a holding in St James has yet to be revealed but
