Scotland Euro 2024 fan camp is a nudist hotspot
THE Tartan Army might see plenty of tackles if they stay at an official Euros fancamp — set up at a nudist hotspot.
Thousands of supporters are set to head to Mülhei-mer Island in Cologne when Scotland play Switzerland in the city on June 1
But locals have told how the area is renowned as a popular site for naked sunbathing.
One said: “It’s perfect for anyone wanting to get an all-over tan. A lot of cyclists and walkers get an eyeful they weren’t expecting when they go there.”
Uefa’s website promises fans a “special” stay at the island while official partner Booking.com says the £100-a-night camp is ready to welcome them in Euros “glory”.
Last night Iain Emerson, editor of the Famous Tartan Army Magazine, said: “It seems good value. But I can’t see our fans rushing to get their kilts off.”
The camp is on the outskirts of city centre along the banks of the Rhine — where passengers on river cruises often get close-up views of sunbathers in the buff.
And Scotland fans can belt out their Yes Sir, I Can Boogie anthem until 6am at a rave club just 50 yards from the campsite.
