Scotland fan starstruck after bumping into Ewan McGregor on way to Euros
Scottish superstar Ewan McGregor stunned a travelling Tartan Army supporter when they bumped into one another as he made his way to Cologne in Germany.
The Trainspotting and Star Wars actor also sent a good luck message to the national side while bumping into John Falkirk and his quirky vintage campervan, Elvis.
John shared an image of himself alongside McGrergor on social media saying that he bumped into the celebrity shortly after arriving in the host nation for Euro 2024 Championships, the Daily Record reports.

While route to the German city where Scotland will play their second Group A game, John and his van, Elvis, came across McGregor and his old motorcycle pal and actor Charley Boorman in Amsterdam, after they arrived off the Newcastle ferry on Saturday, June 8.
The pair – who filmed two-wheeled travel series Long Way Round, Long Way Down, and Long Way Up, together – were left impressed by the unique motorhome.

“Elvis” has a top deck platform featuring murals of the Scotland national team, and a front banner that reads “Yabba Dabba Doo, We support the boys in blue,” from the 1974 Scotland song ‘Easy Easy’. McGregor and Boorman posed for a picture next to John and his impressive van and took a short clip.
The Trainspotting star said: “Alright Scotland, good luck at the Euros”, then shouted “Woo-hoo!” before pointing back to the van, adding: “Look out for Elvis here.”
John was left starstruck by the chance meeting as she shared the moment to his followers.
John, from Falkirk, said: “Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman wanted to meet Elvis. Just off the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam.”
John’s eye-catching campervan from German manufacture Volkswagen, features an incredible roof platform.
Pals were left buzzing by the update.One friend commented: “Class man enjoy Germany.”
Another added: “This is amazing John.”
Whilst one pal joked: “Brilliant, Elvis and Obi-Wan Kenobi together.”
Before setting off for Germany, John sent an open invite to top Scottish musicians for them to come and perform on top of it.
A call-out was made to the likes of Gerry Cinnamon, Calvin Harris and Rod Stewart, with a video of the bus parked next to the Falkirk Stadium.
John said: “This is an open invitation to Gerry Cinnamon, Calvin Harris, Rod Stewart, Paulo Nutini, Marti Pellow, Sharleen Spiteri, The Cocteau Twins, The Proclaimers, Lulu and anyone fricken else Scottish you can think of.
