Scotland v Israel to be played behind closed doors amid ‘disruption’ fears

Scotland Women’s upcoming Euro qualifiers against Israel will be played behind closed doors over fears of “disruption” at the games.

The sides meet at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Friday, May 31. But it will go ahead with no fans in attendance.

The away fixture is due to be played in Hungary, due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and is also to be played without supporters in the stands.

The SFA said in a statement released on Tuesday: “The stadium operations team were alerted to the potential for planned disruptions to the match and as a consequence we have no option but to play the match without supporters in attendance.”
