Scott McTominay eyes unlikely career change as he admits ‘I’d be all over that’
IT’S one of the more unlikely career changes out there.
But it’s a little known fact that Scotland and Manchester United hero Scott McTominay is a massive wrestling fan.
And it was a star-struck 27-year-old who admitted to Scottish WWE hero Drew McIntyre that he could be tempted to don the spandex and cape to enter the wrestling arena himself once his football days are done.
Speaking live on the national team’s Scotland HQ YouTube channel, McTominay was asked about his wrestling heroes.
He said: “There was a lot. We would be here for a long, long time if I went through it.
” I loved the Undertaker, I went to see one of the shows when I was kid. All the lights went off and the atmosphere in Manchester was amazing. John Cena, the Rock, the list is endless to be fair.”

McIntrye was then asked by host Craig Telfer if he thought McTominay could make the grade as a wrestler.
Telfer said: “I’m just looking at Scott, just now, he’s 6ft 4, very handsome a good talker, do you think he’s got what it takes to be a wrestler?”
McIntyre replied: “100%.”
McTominay then responded: “I need to get in the gym.”
But McIntyre replied: “Have you seen some of our guys, I am 6ft 5in, 19 and a half stone so I am one of the bigger guys.
McTominay added: “What is that in kilos?”
McIntyre joked: “I don’t know. Lots.
But he continued: “Scott’s got some stuff to take care of, with Man Utd and more importantly with Scotland, when he’s ready to slow down a little bit there’s a spot waiting for him.
“With the athletic ability and natural charisma he’s got, he would smash it in WWE.”
McTominay reponded: “I would be all over that. I will hold you to that – in 15 years time.”
