Scottish caravan park just minutes away from Edinburgh crowned best in country

A caravan park just outside of Edinburgh has been crowned the “best” in Scotland.

With July just days away, families up and down Scotland will be frantically deciding how best to spend the summer holidays. While there are countless picturesque towns and villages all over the country to stay in, sometimes nothing can beat a few nights with your loved ones at a holiday park.

Ahead of the peak summer season, Linwater Caravan Park has earned the title of ‘Best Caravan Park’ in Scotland at the Scottish Hospitality Awards 2024. Despite facing strong competition, the site on the outskirts of the Scottish capital surpassed top-ranking caravan parks throughout the country to claim the prize.

The award-winning caravan site was recognised for its excellent customer service, commitment to maintaining immaculate grounds, and continuous improvement and investment in on-site facilities. Made up of two sets of warden couples and a housekeeping team of four, the small team was also praised for efficiently and effectively delivering a top guest experience.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside just 12 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, Linwater Caravan Park welcomes tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. It also offers a curated selection of self-catering static caravans and lodges.

Facilities at the holiday park include a small store selling a selection of groceries and camping supplies, heated showers with a changing area, and an indoor camping kitchen with cooking facilities and a TV. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as a play park with a picnic area and a dog walking area with a scenic trail.
