The Highland capital will play host for the third time to a popular event drawing whisky lovers to Eden Court on Saturday.
The first date of the season for the Scottish National Whisky Festival will see exhibitors from all over Scotland and beyond take over the One Touch theatre for a day dedicated to whisky in all its forms.
Born in Glasgow in 2015, the festival was created with the idea to blend whisky and live performances from local artists, as well as celebrating all things spirits.
Gareth Croll, festival co-ordinator, said: “We can’t wait to hit the road again this year and bring the Scottish National Whisky Festival to Inverness, one of our favourite parts of the country.
”As always, we are excited to partner with some of Scotland’s most celebrated distillers, bottlers, bars and artists to create an unforgettable celebration of Scottish culture today.
“This year we’ve gone all out and promise to deliver our biggest festival series to date – do not miss it, see you there!”
The day will see local wine and spirits shop WoodWinters mann the pop-up store at the theatre, as well as one of Inverness’ most popular whisky bars, The Malt Room, hold a special Campbeltown tasting tonight at 8pm.
The festival will then be followed by Aberdeen (September 14), Edinburgh (October 26) and Glasgow in January 2025.
