Scottish politician George Galloway ‘relentlessly stalked’ in real-life Baby Reindeer claim
George Galloway has alleged he was “relentlessly and physically” stalked by the real-life Martha from the hit Netflix show Baby Reindeer.
The Dundee-born politician told Piers Morgan on his show Uncensored that during his time as MP for Glasgow Hillhead in the ’80s and ’90s, he received “hundreds of calls” from a woman he believes to be Fiona Harvey.
He said he discovered his “stalker” following an interview between Morgan and Harvey earlier this year, reports the Daily Record.

Speaking on Morgan’s YouTube channel, he said: “I saw her sitting in this chair, I was riveted by your interview and it took me right back to the 1980s when stalking was up close and personal because there was no emails, there was no texting.
“You had to either phone someone on their landline or turn up at the door. That’s real stalking and that’s what she did to me. She called me hundreds of times, hundreds of times, and she showed up probably hundreds of times, at the most inappropriate places. At my office, wherever she discovered that we were, me and my staff and my inner circle, she would breeze in.”
Galloway claims Harvey was after his job as an MP in Glasgow. He added: “She was forever on my case.

“She was a member of the Labour Party, I think you got that out of her. She was a member of the Labour Party in my Hillhead constituency.
“I had just been elected MP in 1987, defeating Roy Jenkins, and suddenly I find this obsessive woman in my midst. And everywhere I turned, she was there. And, at first I thought that she fancied me, but it turned out that she fancied my job and so she was a relentless, physical up close-and-personal stalker of mine, and I’m ready to testify to that.”
Following the screening of the hit show Baby Reindeer in April, Harvey was identified by internet sleuths as the woman portrayed as Richard Gadd’s stalker from identical social media posts to those shown in the programme.
Scots lawyer Laura Wray, husband of former Glasgow Baillieston Labour MP Jimmy Wray, also claimed she was stalked by Harvey years ago.
Galloway said he knew Laura and Jimmy, who died in 2013, and had spoken to them about their alleged stalker. It comes after Laura revealed she feared Harvey would return to live in Scotland.

On MP Jimmy Wray, Galloway claimed: “She fancied Jimmy’s job too… so it was on one level chilling another level hilarious to see that face and to hear that voice again.
Asked if Harvey had ever threatened him, Galloway replied: “No”.
However, when asked if he feared she might harm him, he said: “Yeah, I think when someone’s obsessive, you’re always afraid that obsession might take a sudden twist and potentially a dangerous twist but she never did harm me or threaten to harm me. She was just in my life when I didn’t want her to be… The last time I saw her would be around early 1990s. And I hadn’t seen her again until I saw her on the show.
“I didn’t of course at that point know that she was the person being alleged to be the ‘Baby Reindeer’. Although I had watched Baby Reindeer, I had no idea that it was her. And then when I saw it on your show, it took me right back to the salad days of the 1980s… as I say, simultaneously chilling and hilarious at the same time.”
Harvey revealed she was suing Netflix for $170million over defamation and negligence. The streaming giant said it would defend itself in any case.
