Scottish Rum Festival returning to Glasgow with packed event at SWG3 this autumn
A top festival dedicated to rum which celebrated its first successful event last year is coming to Glasgow this autumn.
Set to be held at SWG3 on Saturday, September 7, the second-ever Scottish Rum Festival is promising another unforgettable celebration of Scotland’s rum heritage and its thriving rum scene.
From established distilleries to innovative new producers, the organisers say there will be something to delight every rum enthusiast and explorer.
Taking place over two sessions, one in the afternoon (12 pm until 3.30 pm) and one in the evening (4.30 pm until 8 pm), the event will offer a meet-the-maker experience, a branded Glencairn tasting glass and samples from each of the rum producers in attendance. The masterclass schedule will be released later this year.

The team say the early bird tickets for the festival have already sold out, adding that this reflects the “immense anticipation” surrounding this year’s event.
However, regular tickets are still available for purchase (priced at £21 + 50p booking fee) and are available from the official Scottish Rum Festival website.
“We are delighted to bring The Scottish Rum Festival back for its second year, this time in the vibrant city of Glasgow,” said Scottish Rum Festival organiser, Jasmine Wheelhouse.
She added: “Following the success of our inaugural event, we are excited to once again showcase Scotland’s rich rum heritage and the incredible producers on the Scottish rum map.
“With an array of fantastic producers, interactive masterclasses, and of course, plenty of rum, this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better than before.”
