Scottish rural agency team expands in the north as key players return – Aberdeen Business News

AFTER two years spent in a property role in the Cayman Islands, Jamie Wedderspoon has returned to Savills as a Director to head up the Aberdeen rural team.  Originally from Angus, and an experienced rural agent, Jamie is focused on expanding the firm’s agency business in the North of Scotland.  His role also involves supporting rural clients more widely, involving specialist colleagues from Savills food and farming consultancy as well as forestry, tourism, property development, natural capital and renewables teams.  

He said:  “I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to raise my family back home, and advise farming clients here in the North East of Scotland, one of the most scenic and diverse landscapes in the world.”

Jamie is joined in the Aberdeen rural team by Cara Thomson who has returned to Savills as an Associate Director following her maternity leave. A surveyor with sound knowledge of the local farmland market in the North East of Scotland, Cara is also an RICS registered Valuer and brings a wealth of professional experience, from succession to tax planning.  With her own family farming enterprise in Aberdeenshire, Cara has hands-on experience of the sector and in-depth local market knowledge which is has proved invaluable in advising sellers.
