Stacey Solomon dubs Scotland ‘beautiful’ as she enjoys camping trip with family
Stacey Solomon and her husband Joe Swash have been exploring Scotland in their impressive new motorhome.
On Tuesday, the Loose Women star shared an update on her social media, describing Scotland as ‘beautiful’ as she gushed over the trip.
She also revealed that their swanky seven-berth 60k campervan, which they’ve been touring Scotland in, was ‘full of poo’.
Alongside a snap of Joe Swash and their kids on Coral Beach in the Isle of Skye, she wrote: “got a van full of poo & we have slept in every car park in Skye but oh my g-d Scotland YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL I haven’t laughed this much in forever. Feeling grateful. Stinky but grateful”
On her Instagram Story Stacey also likened Scotland to the ‘Maldives’ writing: “If we weren’t wearing puffer jackets I could get away with staying we are in the Maldives” alongside a laughing face emoji.
In another post shared with her 5.8million followers, Stacey admitted the family had been ‘looking for the Loch Ness monster’ as they toured Inverness, adding that she had ‘never felt so free’.
It comes as Stacey revealed she was left ‘so embarrassed’ after she was forced to ‘sleep in a car park’ during their action-packed getaway.
Stacey revealed she and Joe had planned to drive through the night to the Isle of Skye and eventually park up at a campsite to get some well-deserved shut eye.
However, all campsites were closed when the pair, who share Rex, four, Rose, two, and Belle, one, arrived.
“So we thought we’d drive through the night to the Isle of Skye while the kids were asleep and on the way we’ll just ring the camper sites and book ourselves in. We rang every single campsite in the Isle of Skye and they’re all shut for winter,” Stacey, who is also mum to Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, told her followers on Instagram.
She went on to admit she was “embarrassed” by the situation, adding: “We’d already made the journey, and in the end… I’m actually embarrassed to say we had to sleep in a car park.”
“It was so embarrassing having to wake up this morning looking out the window and people were like coming into the car park to go about their daily day,” the mum-of-five laughed. She branded her and Joe “such s*** caravaners” as they continued their “craziest adventure ever”.
