Stella McCartney’s £5m Scotland hideaway rejected by forestry experts

Woodland experts have objected to the fashion designer Stella McCartney’s plans to build a £5 million modern mansion on a remote Highlands plot.

McCartney, 52, and her husband, Alasdhair Willis, have been criticised over the proposals for a secluded hideaway at Commando Rock near Glenuig.

Dozens of objections have been lodged with the Highland council over the application for the beauty spot, about 30 miles west of Fort William, on the Moidart peninsula.
