Steve Clarke looks to Tommy Conway for late Scotland call-up

Scotland manager Steve Clarke is considering a dramatic late call-up for striker Tommy Conway as he prepares to submit the final Euro 2024 squad by midnight on Friday.

The group is a striker down because of Lyndon Dykes’ injury and Scotland missed a series of chances when they had 24 attempts at goal but scored only twice in last night’s 2-0 friendly win over Gibraltar in Faro.

At the same time, uncapped Conway scored for the under-21 team in their friendly defeat to Turkey in Istanbul. Conway, 21, scored 12 goals over the season for Championship club Bristol City.
