Tartan Army belts out ‘Flower of Scotland’ in Munich in defiance after defeat

This is the moment when defiant Scotland fans belted out the national anthem despite the 5-1 defeat.

The gutted supporters sang on the train from the fanzone back to Munich city centre after the Euro 2024 opener.




Scotland fans remained in a party mood after the disappointing performance and result.

There was chants of ‘you only sing when you’re winning’ and ‘no Scotland, no party’.

Many of the ticketless Scots left the Olympiastadion after Niclas Füllkrug’s strike made it 4-0 to the hosts.

But Scotland’s consolation, in the form of Antonio Rüdiger’s own goal, cheered everyone up once again.


The Scots were heading back toward the Marienplatz – Munich’s main square – to drown their sorrows.
