Taylor Swift Concert Set Off Earthquake Monitors In Scotland

During a Taylor Swift concert in Edinburgh, fans danced so hard they set off earthquake monitors. The British Geological Survey recorded seismic activity up to six kilometers away from Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium. The tremors were highest during the song Ready For It? creating enough power to charge 6,000 car batteries. The popstar’s hits Cruel Summer, Shake It Off, and Champagne Problems also registered significant seismic activity. “Clearly Scotland’s reputation for providing some of the most enthusiastic audiences remains intact,” said BGS seismologist Callum Harrison. Swift played three sold-out nights in Edinburgh, performing for over 220,000 Scottish fans in total.
