Taylor Swift wows Edinburgh crowd in the rain on last night of Scotland tour
Taylor Swift said goodbye to her Scots fans in a flurry of colour and excitement as she broke another record after playing night three of her Eras tour at Murrayfield.
The US superstar, whose appearance in Edinburgh has been a veritable whirlwind, admitted they’d saved the best for last as yet again audience numbers broke the current record for any show in Scotland ever.
Since she arrived in town on Friday, Taylor, 34, has braved the unpredictable Scottish temperatures to bring her A game to the Stadium.
Having sustained a frozen hand on night one, and worn gloves during one of her songs in night two, she at one point said this evening: “I think it’s about to rain.”
Her prediction came true as the skies, which had been blissfully sunny this afternoon, opened upon her 70,000 plus audience – but it didn’t dampen spirits as people opened their bags to bring out their hoods and ponchos for the brief downpour.
Taylor joked: “There’s no one I’d rather dance in the rain with than you.”
The buoyant crowd loved her enthusiasm and smiles throughout the three-and-a-half hour long extravaganza.
Fans dressed immaculately in all sorts of tribute costumes from her different Eras and the overall feeling of love and goodwill was spread throughout the event.
Taylor said at the start of her run, and repeatedly thoroughly her shows, that she wished she’d played Scotland more – and the crowd agreed she needs to come back.
Swift concerts are an out of this world experience – from the countdown at the start with parachutes blowing in the wind, to the pyrotechnics and piano set for Champagne Problems right through to the spectacular fireworks at the end, it was a beautifully orchestrated show.

From Swiftie cookies and drinks to sequinned accessories being sold all around, the cobbled streets of the capital have been paved with glitter and rainbows.
Night three proved to be the ultimate experience for an audience who were thrilled to sing a long lovingly and with great gusto to the lyrics of every song from Man and Lovers through to Shake It Off, Bad Blood and beyond.
The Murrayfield roar could be heard for miles, Swifties got what they came for and friendships were made around the world for what turned out to be a historic gig.
