Team Scotland athlete threatens to ‘bash’ woman’s skull in sickening messages
A Scots athlete who competed in the Commonwealth Games told a woman he was going to ‘bash her skull in’ in a series of threatening messages.
Sean Campsie sent the abusive messages to the woman after she claimed he called her friend a ‘low level obese individual’ for refusing to join his online fitness coaching service.
The former Team Scotland swimmer, who competed in 2018, sent the horrific texts when he was called out on social media for his behaviour.
The first series of messages he sent to a former client described her as a ‘low level obese individual’ before adding that her ‘life is a mess’. He later said he was just ‘putting her in her f***ing place’.
After a screenshot of the conversation emerged online, Campsie, from Livingston, then sent sickening messages to the woman’s friend and threatened to ‘bash her skull in’.
The messages, sent from his professional Instagram account Coachedbycampsie, said: “Horrible looking wee c**.”
Before adding: “What’s your address? I’ll come bash your f***ing skull in.”
Campsie then told the woman she was “f****d” because he had her name and she had been “identified”.
He then attempted to justify his behaviour on a public Instagram story, initially apologising to his family and friends before launching a foul-mouthed tirade against the women, calling them “r***ds”.
He said: “Some psychotic ex f***ing client turned everyone against me for some reason, it’s like something you do in f***ing high school.
“It’s so f***ing tragic, unbelievable, like honestly mate, Jesus Christ, you’d honestly think I’d f***ing murdered somebody or something.
“There was literally a client that breached the contract, was telling me how to do my job and how to run my own business and I put her in her f***ing place and told her she’s a f***ing mess.”
He continued the rant to say he earned nearly £10,000 per month through his online coaching service and stated this would not affect his business.
He said: “I run a f***ing online business, I market through Instagram, there’s one billion people on Instagram.
“See just 50 clients is £10,000 per month, I’m on 42 clients – nearly ten grand a f***ing month.
“You honestly think what you say is going to affect my f***ing business?”
At the end of the video, he added: “That’s why they live in the f***ing scheme, they’re r***rds, they don’t understand, they don’t have the mental capacity to understand that what you’re doing is completely irrelevant and makes no sense whatsoever.
“Apart from every c**t in the scheme thinking I’m a f***ing whatever she was saying. That’s why we’re up here and they’re f***ing down there, like honest to God.”
Sickened social media users have slammed his behaviour and branded him “a danger to women”.
One person said: “That’s one to take to straight to a police station. This weapon looks like an absolute danger to women.”
Another added: “Contact the police, he’s a danger to women.”
While a third wrote: “@Team_Scotland You might not want a man who makes death threats to be associated with you.”
A spokesperson for Team Scotland said: “Sean last competed for Team Scotland five years ago, at the Commonwealth Games in 2018, and was only under the remit of Commonwealth Games Scotland during that Games period.
“We strongly condemn any inappropriate behaviour.”
Sean Campsie has been contacted for comment.
