Teen girls, 14 & 15, sexually assaulted on Scots beach as school holidays start

TWO teenage girls were sexually assaulted on a beach during the first weekend of the school holidays.

The girls, aged 14 and 15, were approached by a number of youths on a quad bike when the attack took place.

The incident occurred at Cramond Beach in Edinburgh on Saturday.

The teenage girls reported the horror attack to Police Scotland shortly after it happened.

And cops have now launched a hunt for those who carried out the attack.

The sickening attack came just days after the school term finished for the summer holidays.

Cramond Beach sits on the northern coast of the capital.

It is very popular with dog walkers and families.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating the sexual assault of two female youths, aged 14 and 15, which happened in the Cramond Beach area of Edinburgh on Saturday June 29.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
