Tesco shoppers should be aware of slightly different opening hours this late May bank holiday weekend.

The majority of larger Tesco stores will be open under regular opening hours on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. Most larger Tesco stores typically open at either 6am or 7am, and close as late as midnight, Monday to Saturday. Then on Sundays, most larger stores are open from 10am or 11am, until 4pm or 5pm. Stores in Scotland are open for much longer hours, as trading rules are different in Scotland.

Then on the bank holiday Monday, May 27, most larger stores will be open from 8am to 6pm in England and Wales, or from 8am and 8pm in Scotland, or 7am until 11.59pm in Northern Ireland. But Tesco told The Mirror that opening times do vary across the country, so shoppers should check its online store finder tool to check the exact times of your nearest shop.

Tesco Express stores typically open at 6am and close at 11pm or midnight. Tesco told The Mirror that the majority of its Express stores will be open from 8am to 6pm. Again, check the Tesco store finder tool to see opening times for your store.

In more Tesco news, shoppers have just days left to use almost £17million worth of Clubcard vouchers before they expire. The vouchers, worth £16.9million in total, will no longer be valid to use after midnight on May 31. Tesco Clubcard vouchers are valid for two years, so these were first issued in May 2022.

Tesco shoppers get one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on groceries in stores and online, or one point for every two litres of fuel you buy at a Tesco petrol station. Additionally, every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile is worth one point, while every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card is also worth one point. You’ll also get one point for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.
