The Loch Ness Centre appoints new General Manager as it prepares to welcome record number of visitors – Scottish Business News

The Loch Ness Centre has announced the appointment of Nagina Ishaq as the visitor attraction’s new General Manager, to continue to enhance the cinematic experience and help with the ongoing research and studies on the World’s most famous Loch. 

Nagina joins the team following the refurbishment of the centre after Continuum Attractions took over the site, investing £1.5m on upgrades to the visitor experience exploring the legend and myths of Loch Ness.

With over 15 years experience, Nagina joins the team following being General Manager at Fraser Group Inverness, where she led the team on driving growth, enhancing customer experience, and improving operational efficiency. Previous roles saw Nagina working in London, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Kuwait and brings with her a wealth of skill to the role, with a track record of delivering the highest standards and quality. 

As well as working with The Loch Ness Centre team to continue to deliver a unique and memorable experience, Nagina will be at the forefront of Continuum’s commitment to engage with academia on the ongoing research on Loch Ness as guardians of the legend. Nagina will also engage with the local businesses in Drumnadrochit, as the centre prepares to welcome record numbers of visitors this year.

Located at the old Drumnadrochit Hotel, where, 90 years ago, hotel manageress Mrs Aldie Mackay reported seeing a ‘water beast’ in Loch Ness, the cinematic experience makes use of a wealth of engaging technology to create an incredible multi-sensory attraction featuring real artefacts, scientific debates, as well as eyewitness accounts and recorded sightings.

Visitors to The Loch Ness Centre also have the chance to get out on the water and explore the depths of the world-famous loch with Deepscan Captain, Alistair Matheson, the Skipper for the Loch Ness Project. Guests can book a trip on board the vessel, named after the famous expedition, carried out on the Loch in 1987.
