The thrilling Scots theme park you can book at major discount this bank holiday

A “really fun” Scottish amusement park is currently available to book at a bargain price ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

Families all over Scotland will currently be deciding how best to spend their time off this weekend, and there is certainly no shortage of options. From farms where you can pet baby goats to , the only limit is your imagination.

If you are looking for something a bit more thrilling, then M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park could be the place to head. Especially since all-day passes to the amusement park are now available for just £15 through voucher website Wowcher — a 32 per cent discount off of the standard price of £21.95.

Located in the North Lanarkshire town of Motherwell, just out of Glasgow, M&D’s is perfectly situated for a fun day out. The park is home to rollercoasters, water rides, fairground rides, an arcade, a theatre, a bowling alley, and even Scotland’s only indoor tropical rainforest.

Included in the Wowcher deal is an Unlimited Ride Day Pass, which as the name suggests allows for as many rides as you want. Highlights include the Wave Swinger, Runaway Mine Train, and Flying Jumbos, while there are also plenty of more relaxed experiences on offer for those who aren’t thrill-seekers.

Looking at travel website Tripadvisor, M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park has an average rating of three out of five based on 904 reviews.

One recent visitor wrote: “Went bowling at Cosmic Bowl with the family. Had a great night. Staff were very helpful and a good bar service offered.”

A second echoed: “Only really went to the Amazonia bit with all the animals. It was a really fun experience and all the animals were healthy and well kept and not stressed.

“We went to the handling session, it was really fun and the animals were kept completely safe. The staff were lovely and it was very reasonably priced.”

Meanwhile, one less positive review reads: “This place is hardly a theme park at all. No actual coasters. Everything is designed for little children.”
