Toy Story with live orchestra coming to Scotland this spring
Toy Story is coming to Scotland this year with a live orchestra.
The Disney and Pixar classic was originally due to be screened in Glasgow and Edinburgh next month. Due to the Covid pandemic, the concerts have now been rescheduled to April.
The shows – part of a first-ever UK tour – will feature Oscar-winning composer Randy Newman’s complete score performed live to picture.
The family favourite, featuring the voices of Tom Hanks (Woody) and Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear), tells the fun-filled story of what toys get up to when people aren’t around.
The promoters said: “The Toy Story films are beloved worldwide for their compelling characters, extraordinary storytelling, stunning visuals and the music of Randy Newman.
“The composer and songwriter is behind signature songs including You’ve Got a Friend in Me, Strange Things and I Will Go Sailing No More.
“Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story in Concert is presented by Senbla, and performed by the Novello Orchestra conducted by David Mahoney.”
Toy Story in Concert will take place at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Sunday, April 3 (previously February 15), and then at The Usher Hall in Edinburgh on Monday, April 4 (previously February 16).
