Trade body demands special measures for Scottish immigration
The UK’s immigration system should be overhauled to make Scotland a more attractive place for people to work in an effort to boost the economy, incoming ministers have been told.
Scottish Financial Enterprise, the trade body, has published a series of demands of the next UK government to deliver “sustainable economic growth”.
A key part of this is urging the next prime minister and home secretary to “explore mechanisms to address the specific workforce needs of the Scottish economy through the immigration system”.
