UFC on ESPN 59 weigh-in results: Tracy Cortez chops her locks to hit 126 for main event

The UFC on ESPN 59 weigh-ins are in the books, and after some drama, all the fighters on the card hit their marks.

In the main event, former women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas (13-6 MMA, 10-5 UFC) takes on Tracy Cortez (11-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC), who is fighting in her first UFC headliner. Namajunas, at flyweight for the third time, had no issues and was the first to the scale. She was 124.75 pounds. But Cortez missed weight on her first attempt at 126.5. She had until the close of the weigh-in window to hit the mark and returned with some of her hair cut off to make 126.

In the welterweight co-main event, Santiago Ponzinibbio (29-7 MMA, 11-6 UFC) and Muslim Salikhov (19-5 MMA, 6-4 UFC) both hit 171.

The weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Denver. The nearby Ball Arena hosts Saturday’s event (ESPN/ESPN+).
