‘We need it for Scotland’ gush Primark shoppers as they race to bag cute £5 tops
PRIMARK has been applauded by Scottish shoppers after launching a “cute” top that drums up national pride.
The bargain high street store unveiled its £5 blue and white cropped T-shirt over the weekend.
With the Saltire flag and ‘SCOTLAND’ emblazoned across the front, fashion fans say it will be the perfect way to support their country ahead of the Euros.
Scotland‘s Euro 2024 campaign gets underway with a huge clash against host nation Germany on Friday, June 14.
“Scotland Forever!! Grab yours for the football,” insisted Primark staff from the Irvine, Ayrshire branch.
And their short clip of the T-shirts has already gone viral on TikTok, racking up more than 91,000 views.
One shopper gushed: “Primark trip before Germany?”
Another wrote: “Tryna convince the girls to wear these on our holiday to rep Scotland.”
A third insisted: “WE NEED IT FOR SCOTLAND.”
A fourth echoed: “This is a need, Scotland forever.”
“Just what I’ve been wanting”, agreed someone else.
Meanwhile, a sixth admitted: “This would be kinda cute actually.”
Primark bosses said their bargain buy will “add some Scottish charm to your style”.
Describing it on their website, they added: “The perfect blend of Scottish charm and contemporary style, let our Scotland printed tee be the garment you reach for time after time.
“Sporting a rounded neckline, short sleeves, and a cropped length, this T-shirt presents a more fitted design to highlight your frame, making it a welcome switch from the boxier T-shirts we all have in our collections!
“Decorating the neckline and sleeves in a raglan-like style is a bright blue colour, while a Scotland print and flag appears on the garment’s chest, meaning you can rep the nation’s rich heritage through a trendy new top.”
