American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan will headline the festival on 4 July, following the success of his breakthrough single Stick Season. The 27-year-old folk-pop star, who will be joined by special guest Gracie Abrams, said it was an “absolute honour” to top the bill at BST Hyde Park.

Stick Season was recently named the UK’s biggest song of 2024 so far, having racked up 1.7 million chart units. The track was first released in 2022 to moderate success, but soared to the top of the charts this year after going viral on TikTok.

The online buzz led to Kahan’s first Grammy and Brit nominations, and a world tour which included 11 sold-out UK dates. He has worked with an eclectic range of artists including Post Malone, Sam Fender, Hozier and Kacey Musgraves.

Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) will say a “final goodbye” to touring with a hit-filled set at BST Hyde Park on 13 July. The rock group, best known for songs including Mr. Blue Sky, Livin’ Thing and Evil Woman, were formed in Birmingham in 1970 by Lynne and keyboardist Roy Wood.

The band split in 1986 but Lynne reformed the band in 2014. They have since released two comeback albums, Alone in the Universe and From Out of Nowhere, and performed a memorable set as part of Glastonbury’s ‘legends’ slot’ in 2016.

Lynne, 76, said: “My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014. It seems like the perfect place to do our final show. We couldn’t be more excited to share this special night in London with our UK fans. As the song goes, ‘We’re gonna do it One More Time’.”

BST Hyde Park will take place between June and July 2025
