WWE’s Drew McIntyre Reunites With Scottish Name Ahead Of Clash At The Castle – WrestleTalk

Drew McIntyre has been reunited with a notable name during his return to Glasgow, Scotland, ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle.

McIntyre will compete in a major match at this weekend’s premium live event in Scotland, with the Scottish Warrior set to challenge for Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship.

Ahead of Saturday (June 15) McIntyre has taken a trip down memory lane, visiting a number of familiar faces.

One of McIntyre’s reunions saw him have an interview with STV co-anchor Kelly-Ann Woodland, who he famously picked up during their interview 17 years ago in 2007.

STV has now shared a video interview of the duo in 2024, featuring footage from their previous interview, which you can view below this news story.

During the interview, McIntyre noted that he’s ready for the fans to show WWE how mental Scotland is, noting:

“I’m so full of adrenaline right now, being back home. Not just being back home, but getting to catch up with yourself after 17 years and the fact we’ve got the first ever Scottish WWE PLE is mental.

“The fact that we’re in Scotland and I’m in the main event fighting for the title, is just unreal and this is me setting the challenge right now.

“Scotland, we need you to come out – I’ve been telling everybody about the wildest, craziest people on earth, the most passionate people on earth, this Friday at Smackdown and Saturday Clash at the Castle, you’ve got to break the sound barrier for me.

“We’re going to show the entire world nobody is more mental than us.”

While the Clash at the Castle lineup is already stacked, there are a number of popular stars who aren’t currently set to compete at the show.

Here are seven matches which could be added to this Saturday’s premium live event.
